Warm Waters and Cool Ocean Breezes
The old saying, "go with the flow" seems to be my motto for this time in my life. I sped down to San Diego for a short visit and have found myself a good resting place prior to making it over to my delayed water fast in Nor Cal.
The last time I water fasted was at True North Health Clinic in Pengrove, CA. back in 2/2000. I remember coming out of the fast like a child, full of wonder and excitement about what I would learn next. The fast was only 7.5 days since I felt the pressure of society to keep the ball rolling, but had profound effects on me in many more ways than I'd like to describe here. I came out of Pengrove as a Vegan with no vices or any alcohol...which is the way I intend once again.
Being back in Socal has been very nice seeing friends, and surfing in trunks. My little shed/office/glass blowing studio is now "la cabana" where I reside when visiting my occupied home. I'm paneling the inside and adding wainscoting with a chair rail. I installed a couple windows to keep the ocean breezes flowing thru and added curtains to dance in their presence. The room is actually very comfortable in it's minimal design. At the moment, the many boxes once stored within are in the dog run and soon to be donated or discarded. Time to simplify~
I'll head back to the church after the fast with glass blowing studio on trailer. I may side step over to Burning Man and meet friends in Black Rock Nevada for the annual celebration...depending on how I am feeling. I feel like this event may be a great way to enter back into the world after being at rest for some time. There is something hypnotic about the myriads of colorful people, vast diversity, and ultimate creative energy that has a way of transcending the melancholy of our society ordained by scheduled protocol.
