More details to our new home...

The holidays are times for feasting and visiting, so our productivity has been slight, yet the break was well received and now we're feeling more enthusiastic about getting going again.  Yesterday, I framed the bathroom area and installed the front door.  Tessa helped seal the metal to the slap with laser cut foam strips. Insulation was installed today on the kitchen wall and a couple pieces of plywood for walls.  We'll likely find salvage materials to cover the ply, and lay some of the tile in the kitchen and bathroom. We bought some Cedar windows and old timber casements from a fellow in Byron.  We also decided to make him an offer for his sliders to improve the light and look of the place.  If he accepts, we'll use the sliders in the center locations where the window wall goes, and use the two existing window walls in the garage door bays.
