8 hours left in paradise...

Well, the time has come to bring this train to a halt with an early morning shuttle trip to Brisbane for a flight to LAX.  I'm looking forward to seeing some friends and family while getting things in order to return back to this lovely part of the world.  There are some photos of the creekside coolamon castle as it stands until returning.

Time flew by out here in Oz, but there was never a dull moment.  This was by far, as amazing as it could have ever been with the many wonderful people and serene landscapes all around.  I'm looking forward to a speedy return.

 Added the cooktop and oven.

We didn't have the time to get to all the details, the ceiling, or the wall opposite the kitchen.  We also plan on enclosing the loft and adding a nearly identical one on the wall behind me for an office, or studio space.  Tessa and I are both looking forward to decorating and adding the personalised touches that make will it our unique home.

The wood shop was cleaned to provide adequate storage for extra materials.  Mango and LoAce both got some primer and epoxy paint on rusty areas to keep them tidy under the carport in this humid region where cars tend to rust out with each passing humid day.  I remember this phenomenon in humid Houston, Texas when I was just starting to have an interest in vw's.  Ken, at Dreamcars on the 610 loop would pitch how wonderful his latest Karmann Ghia acquisition was, when minutes later, my foot would crunch through the floorboard into the mud.  I'd always feel like I broke something I shouldn't have, while he removed his humiliation of always passing over the flaws.  Anyway, long story short, I think Floyd might be coming to Oz.
The new front walk way runs from the main house, to the shed castle using cutoffs from the loft.  The pigtails are ready for some interesting light Tessa and I look forward to designing and creating.

Just outside the front door is a pumpkin that took a little divine intervention to bloom.  We're hoping to plant many more flowers and construct some bee boxes they'll call home, possibly increasing the fruit on the land.  The other day we came across the most delicious Cherry Guava tree with ripe fruit and had to sample them again today.  They are very sweet and taste just like the name, yet, enjoyable in small doses.
