All moved in!

A few weeks have gone by after getting our plan rolling again to move into the coolamon creekside palace.

After the back wall was panelled, wires run, and the second loft built, we moved the rest of the furniture out of the main house.  I'm used to doing this on my own, improvising in a any possible way to move forward in life, so having Tessa help with every part of the process was invaluable, while making the experience fun for both of us.

We sanded the floors in the main house with a rented drum sander on Thursday, and used the edger on Friday, then called it quits after returning our rentals by 4pm on Friday.  We were both exhausted for the transformative week, yet also, quite excited about our new home, and the large steps forward at being able to start advertising the rental.

The weather is changing from warm days, and cool nights, to cool days and chilly nights, so our priority is to plumb the wood heater we picked up for added comfort.  This week we plan on finishing the floors with tongue oil, while also doing some paint work, along with more privacy screens out of bamboo.

Aside from all the work, we're enjoying the beautiful outdoor weather we're having, the wildlife, fresh fruit ripening on the trees, and relaxing in the jacuzzi.  Tonight we all gathered at the folk's house for a nice veggie roast, some wine and good company.  We're about to drop into a movie before a restful night's sleep and a new week to bring us a little closer to more freedom and time to grow food.
