The fire burns on~

The rains came when I was away in Oregon.  As you can see, the creek is quite a wild ride, so bring your inner tube and helmet when you come visit.  

We finally got out wood heater going.  Kieran was quite generous by donating two pieces of stainless flue pipe along with some of the insulator pipe that goes outside the roof.  The place came with a decent stock of wood, so we're good for this winter, and my chain saw should arrive in Floyd around May 26th for restocking.

 I'm the official nut cracker while Tessa is in the kitchen, creating our feasts!

 Here's some of nature's gifts to us we so appreciate.

 We spent last Saturday with friends at Bruns near the river for Xavier's birthday.

 This shot was from our moving car heading out towards Lismore on the Scenic Route to pick up a drum kit.  The drum kit was half scale when we arrived, so we passed on the kiddie drum kit.
