Starter up!
So today I had a little starting issue again. And when I called Porsche in Beaverton they told me $1675 just for the starter. They said they didn’t have any remanufactured ones in stock. That was a little bit of a shock to get a price book like that but I usually don’t buy from Porsche either. so I spoke with some of my contacts and Pelican Parts, which is where I buy 99% of my parts. And they quoted me about 275 with $175 cord that I would ship back to get a new version of the one that is not having the solenoid issues which is probably what I’m experience as well. so that’s not that big of a deal and I’m gonna order it as getting closer to home so it arrives when I get there and then I can sort that out should be good to go. All these old cars really do require TLC along the way as all things lifecycle so just part of me enthusiast experience and I always find every time I make a repair satisfaction and then there’s another one and again you get to learn more but it’s sort of like a bit of a partnership. There’s good days and better days!
