Summertime rolls~

Even the birds are feeling the heat, with dips and drinks in the pool.  Every night the cockatoos drop in for a sip or two, while the smaller birds come in for insects floating on the surface.  The days are warm, and the soil is dry.  We received out first rain in a few weeks last night watering our many gardens without any human input, which is always much appreciated.

As beautiful as they are to watch, they fly in massive flocks screeching as they fly by, and always making their audible presence as the sun rises.  Who needs a rooster with so many of these beauties flying around.  They are about as large as the fruit bats we see nearly every night.

 The ceiling went up in about a week.  There are some trim sections needed and some paint on the metal beams to make them match better.

 The gardens showing well.  If you look at the back of the hill you'll see some new gardens.  We planted a fig tree, a wild raspberry bush, capsicums, beans, melons, cukes, and loads of lettuces and many varieties of kale, as well as broccoli, coriander, and bananas.

Life is good with rose colored glasses...Tessa created a sweet screened in pool side room and this is the view looking out of the curtains she used.  

Our new staircase went up in good form prior to building the rest of the loft.
