Party at the Glass Hive

Had an eye opening day at the glass hive party with quite the enclave of glass workers. Turns out Deb is revered as a highly talented lamp worker, not to mention an artist in all regards. She has amazing positive energy that she puts into everything she does, and she does it well!

It's a very nice feeling to sense the camaraderie and enthusiasm for the medium and countless ventures these folks mentally salivate over. I told them I'd dream about it tonight since the days are short and the clock is always ticking...at the moment, I'm still winding my way through the fantasia of soft glass with blow pipe in hand. Sounds archaic, yet ever expanding in whatever the imagination can deliver with the awe of transparency and opalescent. Which leads one to fall between the two fashions of hand blown glass for the best of both worlds. Again...do I hear a whisper from the glass devil to go on ahead and take another gather from the hive? :)

We've all discussed the "addiction" behavior that runs in this tribe. It has very interesting effects on many varieties of people. The stories are endless about many miestros y miestras that let their talents go to their head as all addictions have the nature to leave a trail, if you let them.

To end this thought...It's not always what we decide to do, but how we decide to do it. Greed festers addiction, while respect for a passion, reveals endless possibilities. Remember, these guys and gals refer to their work as playtime? Could this be part of the secret jazz in their daily "routine", if you could ever call it that?
