Second week in Oz

We're moving along with the renovation of the metal building.  I got some wheels, a '96 Toyota Hiace Van with a super sound system and it gets good fuel economy too.  I just returned from the nearby town of Lismore and put an order in for $4K worth of wood to start building the window frames and construct the sleeping loft.  Wednesday we have an appointment with a composting toilet guru who has been at it for 20 years.

The building is now cleaned out after a pressure wash, floors sanded and being sealed tonight.  The wood arrives tomorrow, so tomorrow the saw dust will be flying.

I attached a shot of Tessa and one of her Dad, Phil at the Mullum Farmer's Market where we get the bulk of our food for the week until ours is growing.  There is one of the van too.  Phil is always good for a laugh and seems to always be so positive and supportive every time we stop by.

Some of the high points to date are visiting Suze and Klim's property for a dinner party and some down time at their creek.  Their place has magnificent views over a grassland valley and off into the dense forests surrounding the rural property.  Klim is planning on starting a Zen Trade School.  Yesterday, the couple that was at the dinner party, Josh and Susan, met us at the beach for a surf and swim along with their dog and son, Xavier.  The night before, Tessa gave me the best massage ever, an hour and a half of Myofascial.  We've been enjoying the starry nights, relaxing in the jacuzzi after a hard days work.  Tessa is also quite the chef and prepares amazing meals everyday.  She's also been restoring furniture we're been given and has quite the eye for creating a wonderful look and feel.  Her dog, Spud goes everywhere we go, and is quite the companion.  Everything is going really well, and we're looking forward to creating our new space.
