Road trip around the shire

Tommy lounging on the front porch

Some lovely flowers blooming on our front steps.

We made 6 batches of muffins with custard apples, bananas, raisins, walnuts and cashews using buckwheat flour for a gluten free treat.

Road trip in Floyd through Jerusalem National Forest to Uki with Mount Chincogan in the background.

A beautiful classic Australian Church in Uki.

 Another view of the church.

On the road between Uki and Nimbin.

One of many colorful buildings in Nimbin.  I perused the local book store for a few treasures including 2 books on building wind mills, one on self sufficiency, and another on architecture for arid climates.

I had to stop in the candle making factory to see what they were up to.  They had several molds being used to make specialty candles, and when asked where they got them, they said California.

After making the loop from Uki to Nimbin, Lismore, and then up the coast to Watego's, I went for a surf in the warm, crystal clear aqua water at the left point break and caught my first waves in Oz.

The staircase, railings, and trim boards are in process of completion and looking good.
